Welcome to my Whole food Pantry Sessions!
My approach is all about making simple, small changes that become positive lasting, long-term changes for you and your family.
Getting started. When it comes to making these changes, the question I get most often (especially from busy women and devoted mums!) is: “Where do I start?” And quite often, my answer for them is simpler than they may have thought: “In your kitchen.”
What is the Whole Food Pantry Session? Starting with your kitchen, we take a look (either via Skype or in person) at what’s going on in the pantry, the cabinets, your fridge, on the shelves and just about anywhere else you keep anything that goes into your and your family’s food or drinks. If you have something in your kitchen, chances are you and your family will eat (or drink) it. Conversely, if it is no longer there, you won’t consume it.
This is not a cookie-cutter approach. Because everyone is different, every Whole Food Pantry Session is different. We will focus on what matters to you and what fits into your lifestyle now, while still working toward future goals. Following your Whole Food Pantry Session, you will feel more confident and purposeful as you move forward in your efforts to transform the health and well being of yourself and your family.
In addition to a complete pantry and refrigerator/freezer overview, we will do the following in your one-on-one session:
- Explore healthy substitutes and alternatives for what you already have and use
- Learn how to read labels like a pro
- Take a look at foods that you may have been tricked into thinking were good for you and your family
- Create a healthy real food shopping list and related action plan that includes the where, how often and how much to buy
- Incorporation of any food intolerance’s or allergies you or a family member may have
- Review pantry staples
- After your session, you will also receive a customized seven-day meal plan with recipes, lists and tips.
